Service Solutions service and provide MOTs on all makes of cars and small vans. Our fixed price servicing of your vehicle includes replacement service items, i.e filters, plugs and oil, as per the manufacturers recommendation and specification.

We recommend annual servicing with a major service one year and a medium service the following year. We also do a minor interim top up service which is only recommended for very high mileage vehicles between annual services.

As a reputable aftermarket service agent, Service Solutions can service your car even in its first three years without affecting your warranty, and normally at a much lower cost.

DUE TO BLOCK EXEMPTION REGULATIONS IT IS ILLEGAL FOR A MAIN DEALER TO INSIST THAT A NEW CAR HAS TO BE SERVICED AT A DEALER… EVEN IN THE WARRANTY PERIOD.

Dealers will charge you considerably more for an inferior service than that done by us. All that is required to maintain the warranty is that the parts used are of an equivalent quality to the original parts fitted.

Another misconception perpetuated by main dealers is that a non dealer stamp in the service book will affect the resale price…. this is a complete fallacy. All that is required is a record of the correct service history and a stamp by a reputable garage is sufficient.

Service intervals do vary according to usage and manufacturer, but as a general rule, vehicles should be serviced every 12 months or 10,000 miles. Cambelts (timing belts) should be replaced at the manufacturer recommended mileage, but as a generic rule of thumb this is typically between 4 and 10 years.  Although this can be quite expensive, failure to replace the belt and tensioners could result in far more expensive damage to the engine.
